Trading Range:
Nifty opened gap up at 11915 on Monday and made a high and low of 11946 and 11868 respectively before closing flat at 11885.
Review/Outlook:
For the day, support for Nifty exists at 11840 and 11790 levels whereas resistance for Nifty stands at 11950 and 12020 levels.

Bank Nifty opened gap up at 31037, made a high of 31204, low of 30902, and closed flat at 30992. For the day, support for Bank Nifty exists at 30800 and 30500 levels whereas resistance for Bank Nifty stands at 31300 and 31500 levels. |

Tata Motors and Lithium signed a contract for 400 newly-launched Tigor Sedan EV, with an extended range of 213 km, to be supplied by FY20 and deployed across India, Tata Motors said in a release. Budget carrier GoAir said on Monday it has inked a pact with Dubai-based Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) for the supply of jet fuel to the carrier. GoAir currently operates to eight international destinations and half of them fall in the Gulf region. (ET). |

In further strengthening its position in India’s pharma and healthcare space, global private equity investor, Advent International on Monday announced picking up majority stake in Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited (BSV). Advent informed that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in BSV- a biopharmaceutical leader in women’s healthcare and assisted reproductive treatment. (BL). |
Global trade in goods is expected to be below trend in the fourth quarter of 2019 due to increase in trade tensions and tariffs in key sectors but there is a slight improvement since August this year, according to the latest projections by the World Trade Organisation’s Goods Trade Barometer. The indicator’s reading of 96.6 marks a slight improvement compared to the 95.7 registered in August, but it remains well below the index’s baseline value of 100, signalling below average growth. Japan's Nissan Motor Co Ltd has said it is recalling 394,025 cars in the United States over a braking system defect, causing concerns that a brake fluid leak could potentially lead to a fire. The leak into internal circuit boards will trigger a warning to drivers, which if ignored may lead to a fire in “rare instances,” Nissan said in a filing dated November 8 with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under recall number 18V-601. Indicating some recovery in the aviation sector due to the tourist season, the domestic air passenger traffic this October increased by 3.98 per cent compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the DGCA on Monday. In September this year, the domestic passenger growth was just 1.18 per cent compared to the same month last year. The domestic air traffic last month consisted of 12.31 million passengers compared to 11.84 million passengers in the same month last year, a jump of 3.98 per cent, as per data. On the date for October, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said, the passenger load factor in the month of October 2019 has shown increasing trend compared to previous months primarily due to the onset of tourist season. US markets on Monday barely extended the previous session’s closing records as investors waited for concrete progress on U.S.-China trade relations after mixed headlines. The Dow Jones Index closed at 28,036,
up 31.33 points by 0.11%. The Standard & Poors 500 index closed at 3,122, up 1.57 points by 0.05%. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 8,549, up 9.11 points by 0.11%.
FTSE 100
UK markets edged higher on Monday at the start of the week despite conflicting reports regarding the status of ongoing trade talks between Washington and Beijing and strength in Sterling. The FTSE 100 index closed at 7,308, up 4.76 points by 0.07%. |

Gold futures ended higher on Monday, getting a boost as Treasury yields fell and the dollar weakened — lifting investor demand for the haven metal.
Base Metals
The three-month lead price on the London Metal Exchange was lower at the close of trading on Monday November 18, with the price settling below the $2,000 per tonne support level for the first time since September, while continued inflows pushed aluminium futures lower.
Crude Oil
Oil futures settled lower on Monday, after posting back-to-back weekly gains on rising hope for a so-called phase-one U.S.-China trade deal. |
