Trading Range:
Nifty opened gap down at 11739 on Wednesday and made a high and low of 11783 and 11640 respectively before closing negative at 11679.
Review/Outlook:
For the day, support for Nifty exists at 11610 and 11540 levels whereas resistance for Nifty stands at 11750 and 11820 levels.
Review/Outlook:
Bank Nifty opened gapdown at 30280, made a high of 30515, low of 30132, and closed negative at 30307. For the day, support for Bank Nifty exists at 30100 and 29900 levels whereas resistance for Bank Nifty stands at 30500 and 30700 levels. |

Steel major JSW Steel on Wednesday said Fitch has revised the outlook on the company to ‘negative’ from ‘stable’. “Fitch has affirmed Long-Term Issuer Default (IDR) Rating to ‘BB’ The outlook on the IDR has been revised to negative from stable,” the steel major said in a filing to the BSE. (BL). |
Bharti Infratel is said to be hesitant about going ahead with a plan involving a merger with Indus Towers and a buyout of 7 per cent equity stake from Vodafone Idea in the resultant entity. While almost all clearances have been obtained, the company has sought to extend the process by another two months. (ET). |

Contrary to the expectation of a fall in metal prices due to the coronavirus impact, steel companies have hiked hot-rolled coil prices for the sixth consecutive time, by Rs.500-750 a tonne, to Rs.39,200. The price hike will come into effect on March 1. (BL). |
CRISIL on Wednesday said it has completed the acquisition of a 100 per cent stake in Greenwich Associates. The transaction was announced on December 19 last year. (ET). |

DJIA and NASDAQ Composite
US markets investors looking to get back into the stock market once the selling stampede finally subsides might not want to chase the initial bounce on Wednesday. The Dow Jones Index closed at 26,958, down 123.77 points by 0.46%. The Standard & Poors 500 index closed at 3,116, down 11.82 points by 0.38%. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 8,981, up 15.16 points by 0.17%.
FTSE 100
UK markets finished on a mixed note on Wednesday, with bargain hunters stepping in even as health officials around the globe sounded the alarm over the near-pandemic status of the ongoing outbreak of the new China coronavirus. The FTSE 100 index closed at 7,042, up 24.59 points by 0.35%. |

Base Metals
Lead was the worst performer on the London Metal Exchange at the close on Wednesday February 26, wiping out all gains it made on Tuesday.
Crude Oil
U.S. crude CLc1 made a fresh one-year low of $48.17 per barrel in Asian trade on Thursday. |
