Trading Range:
Nifty opened gap up at 12005 on Wednesday and made a high and low of 12039 and 11966 respectively before closing positive at 11999.
Review/Outlook:
For the day, support for Nifty exists at 11950 and 11880 levels whereas resistance for Nifty stands at 12040 and 12100 levels.

Bank Nifty opened gap up at 31292, made a high of 31472, low of 31206, and closed positive at 31354. For the day, support for Bank Nifty exists at 31000 and 30800 levels whereas resistance for Bank Nifty stands at 31500 and 31700 levels. |

Subhash Chandra is set to lose control of Zee Entertainment. The promoters of Essel group on Wednesday announced the selling of a 16.5 per cent stake in Zee Entertainment (ZEEL) to financial investors, including OFI Global China Fund, in a move to repay its debt. (BL). |
Moody’s Investors Service on Wednesday said it has assigned a ‘Baa1’ rating to the proposed senior unsecured notes to be issued by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) under its $2 billion medium-term note program. The outlook on the rating is negative, Moody’s said in a statement. (ET). |

The better performance expected in BS VI commercial vehicles (when compared with BS IV CVs) may not help the fleet operators significantly as it would be offset by higher debt costs, according to a report by India Ratings & Research, part of Fitch Group. In more news, the government is considering a proposal to provide foreign exchange loan at cheaper interest rate to exporters, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal informed Parliament on Wednesday.. The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a bill to replace an ordinance promulgated to reduce corporate tax to 22 per cent to boost the economy. In more news, the Cabinet on Wednesday gave its approval to the Food Ministry’s recent decision to import 1.2 lakh tonnes of onions in a bid to improve the domestic availability of the key kitchen staple and check prices. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed about the decision at a media briefing after the Cabinet meeting. (ET).

The Centre on Wednesday gave in-principle approval for strategic disinvestment of the government shareholding in five public sector enterprises along with management control. These five PSUs are Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL); Shipping Corporation of India; Container Corporation of India; Tehri Hydro Power Development Corporation (THDCIL), and North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd (NEEPCO). Both THDCIL and NEEPCO will go to NTPC, which will acquire the government’s holding of 74.23 per cent and 100 per cent, respectively. In more news, India and the Europe 29 group of Central, Northern and East European countries hold growth potential in areas such as artificial intelligence, new age technologies, new manufacturing technologies and can be the beacons of growth in a slowing world, Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said. Markets regulator SEBI on Wednesday approved stricter disclosure norms for listed companies on loan defaults, and revised its regulations for portfolio managers as well as for rights issue of shares. SEBI extended the Business Responsibility Report (BRR) requirement to top 1,000 companies, from 500 currently. In case of default in repayment of principle or interest on loans beyond 30 days, listed companies will have to disclose “fact of such a default” within 24 hours, the regulator said after its board meeting. In more news, bank's credit grew by 8.07 per cent to Rs 98.47 lakh crore in the fortnight ended November 6, according to the recent RBI data. In the similar fortnight last year, the advances have stood at Rs 91.11 lakh crore. In the previous fortnight ended October 25, 2019, bank credit had grown by 8.90 per cent y-o-y to Rs 98.39 lakh crore. Bank deposits in the fortnight ended November 8 increased by 9.92 per cent to Rs 129.98 lakh crore from Rs 118.257 lakh crore year ago, RBI data showed. Deposits had grown by 10.25 per cent to Rs 129.78 lakh crore in the fortnight ended October 25. On a year-on-year (y-o-y) basis, non-food bank credit growth decelerated to 8.1 per cent in September 2019 from 11.3 per cent in September 2018. (ET). |

down 112.93 points by 0.40%. The Standard & Poors 500 index closed at 3,108, down 11.72 points by 0.38%. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 8,527, down 43.92 points by 0.51%.
FTSE 100
UK markets fell into the red on Wednesday as concerns about trade relations between the US and China dented the mood, while results from the likes of Kingfisher and Sage also weighed. The FTSE 100 index closed at 7,262, down 61.31 points by 0.84%. |

Precious Metals
Gold futures ended down by a dime on Wednesday, relinquishing nearly all of their mid-session gains seen on a report that said phase one of a U.S.-China trade deal might not be reached this year buoyed haven demand for the precious metal.
Base Metals
The three-month nickel price on the London Metal Exchange continued to fall at the close of trading on Wednesday November 20, with continued selling pressure and supportive forward spreads prompting the metal’s lowest close since July.
Crude Oil
Oil futures finished higher on Wednesday, following a U.S. government report that showed domestic crude supplies up a fourth straight week, but by less than the six million-barrel jump reported by a trade group the day before. |
